Getting Started with Care That Fits Your Life
We know finding the right support can feel overwhelming. That's why we've built an onboarding process that actually listens—one that takes time to understand what you or your loved one truly needs, without rushing through checkboxes or forcing cookie-cutter solutions.
Your Onboarding Journey
We've helped over 200 families in Nantou County and surrounding areas find care arrangements that work. Here's how we make that happen.
Initial Conversation
We start with a call or in-person visit—whatever feels comfortable. You'll talk with Linnea or Takeshi from our coordination team. They'll ask about daily routines, medical considerations, mobility challenges, and personal preferences. No forms to fill out yet. Just a real conversation.
Home Assessment
One of our care coordinators visits your home to see the actual environment. We look at bathroom accessibility, bedroom layout, kitchen setup—practical stuff that affects day-to-day care. This usually takes about 90 minutes and includes family members who want to be involved.
Care Plan Development
Based on what we've learned, we draft a personalized care plan. It covers assistance schedules, medication management, meal preparation, mobility support, and companionship. You review it, suggest changes, and we adjust until it feels right. This back-and-forth typically happens over a week.
Caregiver Matching
We introduce you to potential caregivers whose experience, language skills, and personality match your needs. You meet them—sometimes more than one—before deciding. We encourage trial days so everyone can see if it's a good fit before committing.
Service Start & Adjustment
Care begins on a date that works for you. Our coordinator checks in after the first day, then at the one-week mark. The first month includes regular touchpoints to adjust schedules or approaches based on what's actually working—not what we assumed would work.
Ongoing Support
After the initial month, you have direct access to our coordination team. If health conditions change, family circumstances shift, or you just need to talk through something, we're here. Most families check in with us monthly, but you can reach out anytime.
Why This Process Takes Time
We could speed this up. But when Mrs. Lin's daughter called us in March 2025, she'd already tried two other services that rushed the setup. Her mother ended up with caregivers who didn't speak Taiwanese, didn't know her dietary restrictions, and couldn't recognize early signs of her specific health issues.
So we rebuilt the onboarding from scratch. It takes 2-3 weeks now instead of a few days. But families tell us it's worth it because the care actually works from day one—and we don't cycle through multiple caregivers trying to find the right match.
What We Handle During Onboarding
Beyond matching you with a caregiver, we set up the systems that make long-term care sustainable. These aren't extras—they're part of how we work.

Our next available intake calls are in early February 2026. We limit new client onboarding to ensure quality, so reaching out sooner gives you more flexibility in scheduling.
Schedule Your Initial CallWhat to Expect (Realistically)
We're honest about what this process involves because surprises don't help anyone plan effectively.
Time Investment
Plan for about 4-6 hours total across the onboarding period—initial conversation, home assessment, care plan review, and caregiver meetings. Some families need more time to make decisions, which is completely fine.
Family Involvement
We encourage primary decision-makers and anyone living with the care recipient to participate in key meetings. If family members are overseas, we can arrange video calls—about 40% of our clients have relatives abroad who want to stay involved.
Adjustment Period
Even with thorough planning, the first two weeks involve fine-tuning. Schedules shift, communication styles adjust, and everyone learns each other's rhythms. We're actively involved during this phase to smooth out any friction points.
Cost Clarity
You'll know the complete cost structure before services begin. We provide detailed breakdowns during the care plan review—no hidden fees or surprise charges later. If circumstances change and costs need adjusting, we discuss it with you first.
Caregiver Consistency
We aim for stable caregiver assignments, but illness or emergencies happen. When substitutions are necessary, backup caregivers are briefed on your specific care plan. You're notified as soon as possible about any changes.
Communication Style
We send weekly summary reports by default, but some families prefer daily updates via WhatsApp while others want monthly calls. You choose how much communication feels right—this is about reducing stress, not adding administrative burden.
